Apostle Rev. Dorrett Blake
Apostle Dorrett Blake has been serving in Ministry since November 1997. The journey has been one of fulfillment joy and passion despite the diverse difficulties that challenged the mission. The mandate to rescue the perishing which include the neglected, the abandoned, the rejected and hurting has led her into the trenches in the different cities and believe it or not also into palaces. This has taught her never to judge a book by its cover. She understands what it means to those suffering to have someone reach out with the undiluted indiscriminate love and compassion of Jesus.
Minister Blake’s passion and love for The Lord has flowed into the lives of those reached to bring value and worth to their lives. Hurting people in the hospitals, inner-city communities, city centres, prisons and hospitals benefitted from the miraculous healing and delivering power of the Holy Spirit through her ministry. Having worked in the Business sector for seventeen (17) years, the transition at first into ministry was challenging, from Corporate Jamaica to serving on the Streets and places of reform. However, relationship with the Lord and the knowledge of God’s word gave her a heart of compassion to those she served, seeing beyond the squalor and decadence some were in, and seeing them through Gods’ eyes. As result many have have been reformed and are living meaningful lives. Reverend Dorrett’s relationship with the Lord and the study of God’s word has also burned in her a passion for holiness, intimacy and obedience to The Lord is her primary focus. Bringing others to an intimate knowledge of God and making them disciples of Christ is part and parcel of who she is.
Reverend Dorrett over the years has worn many hats, Teacher, Professional Counsellor, Author, Church planter, to name a few. Having been married for some years, much satisfaction has come, not only from raising up spiritual children but also raising wonderful biological children for purpose, now adults (Stephen and Tiffany) with additions to the family Jamie-lee, Joshua and Zion. This indeed has been and is a tremendous blessing.
